Registration Introduction

Welcome to the 2026–27 Expanded Learning Program registration page!

The Linden Unified School District Expanded Learning Program serves students in TK through eighth grade at Glenwood Elementary, Linden Elementary, Waverly Elementary, and Waterloo Middle School. During the school year, the program operates every day school is in session, from school dismissal until 6:00 PM.

Registration is required for participation. Submitting a registration packet does not guarantee enrollment. Placement is based on enrollment priorities, available space, staffing, and program capacity at each school site.

How to Register

  1. Download the English or Spanish registration packet below.
  2. Complete all required sections and signatures.
  3. Return the completed packet to your student’s school office, the Linden Unified School District Office, or the Expanded Learning Program Office.
  4. Applications are reviewed and recorded in the order received, subject to applicable enrollment priorities. If space is unavailable, your student will be added to the waitlist for their school site.
  5. The Expanded Learning Program will contact you when placement becomes available. Students may begin attending only after their enrollment has been confirmed.

Important Registration Information

  • Submitting a completed registration packet does not guarantee enrollment in the Expanded Learning Program. Enrollment is based on available space, staffing, student-to-staff ratios, and program capacity at each school site.

    Completed registration packets are recorded in the order received. When space is unavailable, the student will be placed on the waitlist for their school site. Waitlist length and placement timelines may vary by location.

  • Applications are generally processed in the order received while honoring applicable state enrollment priorities. Priority may be given to students who meet state-defined eligibility criteria, including unduplicated pupils.

    Meeting an enrollment priority does not guarantee immediate placement. All enrollment decisions remain dependent on available space, staffing, and program capacity.

  • Once enrolled, students are expected to attend the Expanded Learning Program consistently from school dismissal until 6:00 PM. Regular attendance allows students to fully participate in homework support, physical activity, enrichment, and other daily program experiences.

    Reasonable early release is permitted according to the program’s Attendance and Early Release Policy. Families should review the Parent Handbook for complete attendance requirements and approved early release circumstances. Ongoing attendance concerns may affect continued enrollment.

  • Submitting a registration packet does not mean that a student has been accepted into the program. Families will be contacted by the Expanded Learning Program when placement becomes available.

    The program will provide the student’s confirmed start date and any additional information needed before attendance begins. Students may not begin attending until their enrollment has been confirmed by program staff.

  • Families are responsible for keeping registration information current. Please notify the Expanded Learning Program promptly of changes involving:

    • Parent or guardian contact information
    • Emergency contacts
    • Authorized pickup individuals
    • Custody orders or other legal documents
    • Medical conditions, allergies, or medications
    • The student’s school or enrollment status

    Additional forms or documentation may be required. Only authorized individuals who are at least 18 years old and listed in the student’s records may pick up the student. Identification and the student’s designated PIN may be required.
